We are an antique and gift shop located in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana.
We source locally made gifts and art throughout Montana.
We opened Ranch Life Relics in June 2018 with a fondness and appreciation for antique furniture; a desire to restore pieces and share their unique character with others. As the collection grew, we wanted to include personal stories and talents of contemporary artists and makers from around Montana. Consequently, the antique shop has turned into a thoughtfully curated collection of american history and personal stories.
There is one woman who has had a big influence on our shop, and that is Jan Rickman, mother and mother in law to Jason Rickman and Rebecca Rickman Jan Rickman.‘ Dancing Gypsy.’ Jan was as unique and robust as they come. You can ask anyone around about Jan and their face will light up with a story, and you will probably hear of her infamous life advice, “Just Dance.” Jan is remembered in our shop section called The Dancing Gypsy, marked with a self portrait Jan took in a tutu and cowboy boots before her passing in 2017. This collection includes items such as candles, soaps, and hand wrapped sage bundles, just like the ones she would make and gift to friends and family from Dean and Jan’s ranch in Nye, MT. A portion of these sales goes to The American Heart Foundation and Project Hope, in honor of Jan’s humble yet inspiring life and impact on those who knew her.
